Cinnamon Bey Beruwala is a luxurious state of the art getaway, placing the grandeur of a city hotel one hour away from Colombo on the beach. The history of Beruwala dates back to the 10th century when the first permanent Arab settlements in Sri Lanka were noted to have been there, and it is this Turkish architecture that has been the inspiration of this resort that occupies the land of two older hotels that were demolished. Cinnamon Bey is named with reference to this history and is the term used to address provincial nobleman of the Turkish Empire. The unique location of the resort gives it the possession of having both the bay and the beach as its view including a natural pool ideal and safe for swimming.

This large five star resort will accommodate 200 rooms that are abundant with space and luxury, giving guests the opportunity to mingle with the warm beams of the sun and surreal spaces to sleep, relax and reflect, with stunning views of the sea. Decorated with lattice work and complimentary hues, every room will be a haven of luxury. Deluxe rooms and Suites are complete with its own terrace and living room and are located on a separate wing which has its own secluded private swimming pool, restaurant and bar, giving guests' more privacy to enjoy this ultimate getaway.

The speciality of Cinnamon Bey Beruwala will be the variety of dining venues that guests can choose from, each with a view of the sea. An extensive range of eight outlets catering to varied palettes, using different culinary methods borrowed from myriad cultures around the world including experience based dining, some of which will be experienced for the first time in Sri Lanka.

Superior Rooms

The 170 superior rooms (420sq ft) are located on the left wing of the hotel with the breathtaking view of the azure Indian Ocean. Decorated with wooden lattice work, complimentary hues and mosaic patterns, the ambience of the rooms are designed to resemble that of the ancient Turkish architecture which is the overriding theme of Cinnamon Bey. Each room has a terrace/balcony with a view of the garden and the sea beyond.

Deluxe Rooms

Located on a separate wing with an exclusive swimming pool, the 28 deluxe rooms (530sqft) offer luxurious accommodation with plenty of space for relaxation and indulgence giving guests further comfort and privacy. The en-suite bathroom opens out to the view of the translucent ocean. The designs of the rooms are in line with the overall Turkish architectural resemblance with the use of bright blue hues and trellis work that form mosaic patterns.

Swimming Pools

Immerse yourself in the pool early morning; take a pre dinner dip, or soak up the sun all day long whatever suits your preference. The resort will also accommodate a second private swimming pool for the deluxe and suite room wing, in a secluded area providing guests with privacy.
