Jetwing Blue
Jetwing Blue is a medium-range 112 room beach hotel with a contemporary style. This Negombo hotel offers traditional beach fare and has a light and airy, Mediterranean feel, encouraging outdoor living. Stylish bedrooms with spectacular beach views, a restaurant serving Sri Lankan and western cuisine and fine wines and an attentive service make this an ideal recuperation stop after a long flight. The hotel looks out onto the best section of Negombo’s beaches with traditional catamarans sailing on the horizon. Jetwing Blue is owned by the reputed Jetwing Group which also owns several other hotels in Negombo, Cultural Triangle, Galle and the Hill Country.
Accommodation
There are 112 spacious bedrooms including 82 deluxe rooms, 21 super deluxe rooms; 6 suites, and three family rooms. All rooms have beach views and private balcony. In-room facilities include a/c, overhead fan, plasma TV with satellite channels, DVD player, IDD telephone, mini-bar, tea/coffee facility, room safe. Ensuite bathrooms have bathtubs and h/w showers.
The main restaurant overlooks the Indian Ocean and has an extensive show kitchen which serves Sri Lankan and Western cuisine. Fresh seafood including prawns, crabs and fish are a specialty here. The hotel has a well-stocked wine cellar and an air-conditioned bar that serves a range of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Jetwing Blue has two swimming pools, one of which has lounge chairs immersed right in the water. There is also a spa offering rejuvenating massages. For extensive Ayurvedic wellness as well as yoga, guests are welcome to use the facilities at the hotel’s sister property, Ayurveda Pavilions, which is just down the road. Other facilities include a gym (shared with the adjacent The Beach hotel), squash courts and a banquet hall.
