Wathsala Inn Adams Peak is a comfortable family run accommodation situated very close to the start of the Siri Pada or Adams Peak climb. This guest house has rooms offered either on budget or standard basis as double or family rooms. The rooms come with attached bathrooms with hot water. Facilities at the inn include a lounge area and a restaurant that provides breathtaking views of the majestic Adams Peak Mountain. Imagine feasting your eyes upon the lush and dense forests that surround the mountain with the Kelani River gently meandering just beside the restaurant area. The restaurant offers food prepared with fresh vegetables from the inn’s garden. Sri Pada Sri Lanka holds a place of great reverence in the country as the footprint on the summit is said to be the footprint of the Buddha with Muslims and Christians believing the foot print to belong to Adam with some Hindus claiming it to be that of Lord Shiva. This climb is usually undertaken between December and April, as during other months the winds are too strong. Starting at night, the aim of the climbers is to reach the summit by sunrise. The climb is lit by up and there are many stalls around providing refreshments during the ascent
