AIRPORT - KANDY
Day 01 - Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport. You will be met with and welcomed by CYRIL TOURSupon your arrival and transferred to hotel in Kandy. Checking to Grand Kandyan hotel for overnight stay.
Kandy is the old capital of Ceylon and the seat of the last Sinhalese Kingdom. It is a charming city with the most important Buddhist temple in the country and is set in peaceful wooded valley overlooking a vast manmade lake. Kandy’s ancient official lake sits amongst rolling hills that are covered by forests and tea plantations. There is a fantastic view from the upper lake where you can see the whole city of Kandy. Wandering about in Kandy is a fun experience, with cross roads and interconnecting byroads – all forming and intertwined complex. Most pavements are dominated by the vendors selling garments. Lotteries, toys and variety of fancy items – making passing through look almost impossible especially during festive seasons. The main market are in the heart of the town is frequented often for its array of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meat stalls, sweets, cloths, fancy goods and what not ……!
KANDY CITY TOUR
Day 02 - After breakfast leave to visit Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya. End of the garden visit return to Kandy for city tour. Also have an opportunity to walk in street, meet the people etc.
Kandy is a great place to buy gemstones, sapphires of all colors, rubies, tourmalines and many precious and semiprecious stones can all be found here. Visitors are also invited to have a look around the workshops, where they will be able to see the design and cutting, polishing and setting processes.
There is a local traditional dance performance which you will enjoy in the town in the late afternoon, after the show visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. (Sri Dalada Maligawa) Ever since it was founded in the 16th century, it has one of the most sacred relics of Buddhism – a tooth of the Buddha collected from his funeral pyre and which is now protected within the gold – roofed temple of the tooth. It was built within the Royal palace complex which houses the only surviving relic of Buddha, a tooth, which is venerated by Buddhists. The relic has played an important role in the local politics since ancient times; it’s believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country, which caused the ancient kings to protect it with great effort. Kandy was the capital of the Sinhalese kings from 1592 to 1815, fortified by the terrain of the mountains and the difficult approach. The city is a world heritage site declared by UNESCO in part due to the temple. Checking to Grand Kandyan hotel for overnight stay.
KANDY – NUWARAELIYA
Day 03 – After breakfast checkout from the hotel to proceed to Nuwaraeliya via scenic way. Enroute you are passing beautiful waterfalls. All the way through the tea gardens. Visit the Tea factory to see how to process tea before it reach to us. Checking to Grand / Araliya Green City / Araliya Green Hills hotel for overnight stay.
NUWARAELIYA – ELLA BY TRAIN
Day 04 – After breakfast stay leisurely in cool Little England till afternoon. This rail journey is optional. (If you like to do it must inform before 2 months at least. Because it has only limited number of seats. Issuing tickets before 45 days from the date of travel. It has big queue) around 1130hrs checkout from the hotel to proceed to Nanu – Oya Railway station to catch the train to Ella. Train arrive at 1230hrs and it will reach to Ella around 1515hrs. This is one of the most interesting rail journeys in the world. Your vehicle will travel ahead of you and pick you up from Ella railway station. Otherwise you can go by car. Checking to 98 Acres hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05 - After breakfast leave to visit Little Adam’s Peak. Hotel people will assist you. Evening can go to see 9 Arch Railway Bridge. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
ELLA – UDAWALAWE
Day 06 - After breakfast checkout from the hotel to proceed to Udawalave. Enroute you passing Rawana Waterfall . Then continue to Udawalawe. Checking to Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort. Today you are visiting Udawalawe National Park by hired jeep. End of the day return to hotel for overnight stay.
UDAWALAWE – ELEPHANT TRASIT HOME – WELIGAMA
Day 07 - After breakfast checkout from the hotel to proceed to Marriot Hotel in Weligama. Just after checkout from the hotel at 0900hrs visit Elephant Transit Home. It is very interesting place to be. Then continue to Weligama. You will stay here for 3 nights. While you are in this marvelous beach resort you can go for a Whale Watching (Optional) in one day. You have to leave from the hotel Mirissa around 6.15 in the morning.

Day 10 - Transfer to airport on given time. Please note you have to be in the airport before 2 hours to the departure time. You need 3 hours from the hotel to airport.
